Hey, I’m Holly
I’ve been captivated by birth for as long as I can remember.
With a background in gender and health history, I once imagined myself championing reproductive rights and health advocacy from the front of a university classroom. But along the way, I discovered the transformative power of community care and lived experience—insights that couldn’t be found in books alone. That’s when Birthhouse was born.
Today, I work as a full-spectrum doula and researcher, weaving together scholarship and community work. I lecture in gender history, hold certifications from BADT and DONA, and am currently completing my PhD at Dalhousie University. My work lives at the intersection of advocacy, education, and care—because everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and held on their reproductive health journey.
